It couldn't get any better
My wife & I spent our honeymoon in Turkey on a trip put together by Okan Kutlu at TSC. The trip was based on where we wanted to go & what we wanted to see & do, not just a predetermined trip like so many others offer.
The ability to customize our trip was a big plus. We initially had several different places in mind & Okan was quick to respond with detailed breakdowns of what it would cost to do each location, and with the option of various levels of accommodation in each place. His communication was excellent & he was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had.
We visited Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Kusadasi during our stay. This included guided day trips to Pamukkale, Ephesus, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Bosphorus cruise, Topkapi Palace, Goreme Open Air Museum, hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, plus plenty of free time on each are to explore on our own. We also added a few days on in Kusadasi at the end of our trip to relax & explore the area by ourselves.
All hotels, transfers & domestic flights were included in the cost of the trip. TSC made everything incredibly easy. Additionally, the fact that you fly from place to place saves a ton of time & lets you see more things in a quicker & more comfortable manner. Many of the trips offered by other travel agents have you traveling around by bus. That means you are sort of forced to eat in the out of the way places that cater to busses full of tourists rather than the good spots where the locals would eat. Additionally, you are spending half of your vacation driving around in a bus with 30 other people. Thanks to TSC, we were able to avoid that kind of nightmare, and for the same cost many of the other companies charge for those awful bus tours.
We stayed in the mid-level hotels & they were all fantastic. Our hotel in Istanbul was in the heart of the old city, and walking distance to a lot of sites, shops, restaurants, bank, etc. We had an amazing view from the rooftop bar of the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia on one side & the Bosphorus on the other. In Cappadocia, we were greeted after a rough flight by the owner & his assistant. They were incredibly friendly & welcoming, and showed us to our room... which was absolutely beautiful. TSC had provided us with a lovely gift to congratulate on on our marriage. It was like something from a movie! In Kusadasi, we stayed right on the water at a very sleek, modern boutique hotel. We ended up befriending the woman working the desk & her husband, and have remained in contact with them ever since. All the hotels were charming in very different ways, and all were clean, comfy, close to everything, and with incredibly nice & helpful staffs.
All of out tour guides were amazing as well... great personalities who seem to love what they do & enjoy sharing their beautiful country with us. During our tour of Istanbul, we were accompanied by only a pair of older ladies, one of which had a leg injury & they had to sit out parts of the tour, so we basically got a private tour. Our tours in Cappadocia & Ephesus were private, just us & the guide. Our trip to Pamukkale was a small group of about 15 people. Most travel agencies would charge a fortune for private tours, and it would be next to impossible to have a small group or private tour if you were on one of those bus trips. Less people in your party means being able to see what you want to see, not having to compromise for a bunch of strangers.
I truly cannot imagine how our trip could have been any more perfect. We can't wait to visit Turkey again, and will undoubtably be using the services of Okan & TSC again.
